• Base 500 Pop model is $199/mo. for 42 months
  • Lease allows 12,000 miles per year
  • No money due at signing with this lease offer through Ally Financial or US Bank

When it comes to cool cars, FIAT's little 500 is a top contender. Like the VW Beetle or Mini Cooper, today's 500 is based on a design that was popular worldwide for decades. The new one is still stylish, but far more versatile, comfortable and efficient than its predecessors. Now, a special lease deal can put drivers in the trendy 500 for as little as $199 per month.

Qualified customers leasing through Ally Financial or US Bank from now through January 3 pay no money at lease signing and $199 per month for the base 500 Pop with manual transmission. The offer is for a 42-month lease with a mileage allowance of 12,000 miles per year. Tax, tag and title are additional.

Both the 500 and the 500 Cabrio convertible are powered by a fuel-efficient 4-cylinder engine and, despite its diminutive dimensions, earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick rating.

Reid Bigland, President and CEO of the Dodge Brand and Head of US Sales, thinks the special rate will make the 500 even more attractive to those already considering the vehicle, and may draw some new customers wooed by the low entry point into Italian motoring.

"Customers who have been considering a FIAT 500 purchase or lease now have even more reason to check one out today," said Bigland. "The FIAT 500 line is attracting a new wave of customers that have not considered a Chrysler Group product in the past. The brand is here to offer true Italian style and design at an affordable price. You no longer need six figures to buy an Italian car."

Indeed the 500 is the cheapest Italian automobile available in the US. But the others, by brands like Ferrari and Maserati, are clearly in a different league. Still, the 500 captures the essence of everyday Italian motoring by offering comfort and efficiency dressed in a high-fashion wrapper. And thanks to this sign and drive lease offer, the 500 is as affordable as it is stylish.

What it means to you: Act quickly to enjoy high-fashion Italian motoring for under $200 per month. FIAT's "Sign & Drive" offer on the 500 is on now through January 3.
