2018 BMW M5: Frankfurt Auto Show - Video

Yes, the all-new 2018 BMW M5 has a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 generating 600 horsepower, but we're liking the matte red paint almost as much.

Even more surprising is the fact that BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system is available. Granted, it's been tweaked to give a more M-appropriate feel. For purists and track days, BMW has included a rear-drive mode for the more traditional sporty feel. Zero to 60 should be under 3.5 seconds.

Inside, this First Edition version has black trim with white leather and red stitching. Production cars will also have a numbered plaque for the 400 examples to be built -- 50 of those will make it to the U.S

The 2018 BMW M5 will be on sale spring 2018.
