If you’re interested in a Ferrari F40 — and if you’ve got a LOT of money to spend — now’s your chance. A 1990 Ferrari F40 has just been listed for sale on Autotrader, and it’s a rare U.S.-spec model rather than a more common imported F40. That means more power and fewer registration hassles at the DMV.
This particular F40 is offered by Ferrari of Newport Beach in Newport Beach, California, south of Los Angeles. It’s listed with just 7,338 miles from new — an impressively low figure that has assisted in keeping this F40 absolutely pristine. It’s painted in red, of course, as all F40 models were, and is indeed a U.S.-spec car — one of just 215 or so made in the F40’s run of approximately 1,300 vehicles.
According to the Carfax report, this F40 was sold new in Southern California and remained there until 2004, when it was offered for sale in Pennsylvania. It then spent about a decade in Utah until returning to California five years ago, and mileage has been added very sparingly ever since.
The F40 is a special car, and this one is no exception. But of course, a special car comes at a special price: This one is offered for $1.5 million, which is a huge figure, but increasingly realistic as F40 prices continue to climb. Find a Ferrari F40 for sale
