If you’re disappointed that you missed out on the original run of the C5 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, now’s your chance to get a new one again. This 2004 Chevy Corvette Z06 is the best-preserved example currently listed for sale on Autotrader, with just 1,203 miles from new.
Obviously, that’s an amazing figure for a car like this — so amazing that it’s still effectively a completely new vehicle. Finished in blue with silver stripes as part of the "Commemorative Edition" that celebrated Chevy’s class victories at LeMans, this also happens to be one of the more attractive Z06 models made for the C5 generation — at least in my opinion.
So what’s the story on this car’s low mileage in 15 years? Surprisingly, the Carfax report shows four owners, with the first owner keeping the car from 2004 to 2011 — and selling it with just 32 miles. From there, this Z06 went to Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Florida, likely going between dealers and collectors and those tempted to take it out for an exciting spin.
Right now, it’s available in great condition from Driving Emotions in Lake Park, Florida, near Palm Beach — and it’s listed for $39,800. Obviously, that figure is more expensive than other C5 Z06 models, but this C5 Z06 is nicer than just about any other one you’re likely to find — and if you’re looking for the ultimate well-preserved C5 Z06, this is it.
