In the world of weird automobiles, Toyota definitely isn’t the first name you think of when you’re considering strange vehicles. But Toyota has made some interesting cars — and many of them are listed for sale on Autotrader. I’ve rounded up three of the most interesting Toyota models, which are currently listed for sale on Autotrader, so you can see some examples of what I mean.
The Toyota Land Cruiser is a well-known and highly coveted SUV, especially on the used market — but this one is no SUV. Instead, this is a pickup version of the Land Cruiser, and it hails from the vehicle’s "FJ40" generation, which was sold through 1983. It’s rare to find an FJ40 so late in production, and it’s rare to find a pickup version — but this one is listed on Autotrader, offered by a private seller in Daphne, Alabama, for $28,900. This Toyota truck just looks cool. It’s a 1993 Toyota pickup that’s been lifted, featuring off-road tires and the kind of graphics package that would’ve been sooooo cool 25 years ago, back when this truck was new. These days, it’s cool just for the retro effect — and for the fact that it’s traveled just 40,000 miles from new. This truck is offered by North Shore Classics in the Chicago area for $22,207, and you’re unlikely to find another Toyota pickup in similar condition with similar period modifications. Although most people bought Toyota pickup trucks to use them heavily — considering just how reliable and bulletproof these trucks are known to be — some Toyota pickup models were preserved, somehow. This is an excellent example, as it’s a 2-wheel drive ’94 Toyota pickup with just 43,000 miles, and it’s in fantastic condition — so fantastic that it’s hard to remember a time when these really looked this good. This one is offered by Carco Sales and Finance in the San Diego area for $9,888. Find a Toyota Pickup for sale
