A Used Volvo V90 Is Already Starting to Become Affordable

If you’re looking for a wagon, you probably know your choices are slim — especially if you want a new one at a reasonable price, as few models exist. If you’re looking to spend under $40,000 on a wagon, for instance, you’re pretty much looking at the Buick Regal TourX, a couple of Subaru models, and the Volkswagen Golf wagon, and that’s about it.

But if you’re willing to take your $40,000 budget into the used car realm, it could get you quite a bit — especially in the world of Volvo. Volvo made car enthusiasts very happy when it started offering its V90 wagon here in North America. It’s a larger model with family-sized interior room, but the $52,000 starting price — which is often inflated considerably with options — isn’t very budget-friendly. However, used examples can be.

The V90 is getting cheaper by the minute, and it’s becoming very desirable at the same time. You can now get certified pre-owned 2017 and 2018 V90 models for around $35,000, which is cheaper than many versions of the Subaru Outback. Like the Outback, the V90 has all-wheel drive, but it also offers a much nicer cabin and better tech. Some of these V90 models also offer a longer warranty with Volvo’s excellent CPO coverage.

If you’re interested in a wagon and you’re willing to look into used models, you might be pleasantly surprised at how much V90 you can buy at a big discount compared to the original MSRP. Find a Volvo V90 for sale
