If you’re looking for information on a newer Lexus ES, we’ve published an updated review: 2019 Lexus ES Review
We’ve all heard the expression "less is more," and when it comes to cars the 2018 Lexus ES 300h almost epitomizes that expression. Here is a quick look at relaxed and reliable luxury at its finest.
One upgrade that is certainly worth consideration is the 15-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound system. It produces a powerful 835 watts and really is one-of-a-kind. There are some nice standard features inside like dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control and even a sunroof. Opting for the Luxury package will heat and ventilate the front seats.
11.6-inch Disc Brakes
There is a long list of standard safety in the ES 300h including a precollision system that can detect pedestrians and will apply the brakes for you if your reaction is too slow. It does help to have 11.6-in ventilated front discs brakes assisting you. There is also lane-departure alert that uses a high-resolution camera to keep you in your lane. 40 Miles per Gallon
The ES 300h has a total output of 200 horsepower, so there is plenty of power. One of the best parts though is the combined 40 mpg rating. The longer wheelbase of the ES offers some excitement as far as handling. Just select one of the modes of Drive Mode Select and off you go.
So the design has been carefully executed by Lexus. The curves in the design help to optimize fuel efficiency. The style also has a slight aggressiveness and up front is the spindle grille and beautiful 17-in alloys.
So the ES 300h unfortunately isn’t equipped with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, which was slightly disappointing. There is however Siri Eyes Free, and you can connect your smartphone via the Lexus Enform App Suite.
