If you’re looking for information on a newer Ford C-Max Energi, we’ve published an updated review: 2017 Ford C-Max Energi Review
Let’s be honest, we all know that hybrids and plug-in hybrids are everywhere these days. Meet the 2016 Ford C-Max Energi. If you’re still unsure about going green, we have five reasons the C-Max Energi will make you consider otherwise.
Get ready to save, and we mean really save. This C-Max uses just electric power for the first 19 miles, then the gasoline engine kicks in. If you charge often, you’ll rarely visit the pump, and that’s a pretty nice feeling.
We’ve driven quite a few plug-in hybrids, but this car really moves. It’s got 188 horses under the hood, coming from an electric motor paired with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gas motor. The C-Max Energi hits 60 miles per hour in under 8 seconds, so passing and merging on the road comes with ease. See the 2016 Ford C-Max models for sale near you
We’re impressed with the inside of the C-Max Energi. It comes with heated seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and dual-zone climate control standard. The 8-inch touchscreen has SYNC 3, Ford’s super-smart interface with a ton of functions, and yes, it’s easy to use.
Ford outfitted the Energi nicely out of the gate. Standard are 17-in alloys and heated mirrors, and jumping inside, you’ll find a keyless ignition, leather and an 8-way power driver’s seat with good support. An upgraded package adds a power lift gate and a parallel parking assist system.
As anyone who owns one will gladly tell you, the best part of a plug-in hybrid is the option to charge. Knowing you don’t have to charge and that the gasoline engine’s got your back gives you incredible peace of mind. The Energi only needs 2.5 hours to fully charge with a 240-volt power source. That’s pretty awesome.
We didn’t even get to mention the federal tax credit, but all in all, this Ford is a worthy eco-choice. Check out the 2016 Ford C-Max Energi, plug it in and start saving. Find a Ford C-Max for sale
