The fully redesigned A5 is a beauty, and it comes in three well-equipped trim levels: The Sportback, the Coupe and the Cabriolet. Each trim comes with a Singleframe grille, LED taillights, dual exhaust outlets and stylish 18-in 10-spoke wheels.
Opting for the available head-up display will certainly be helpful when you’re on the road, but you should also consider the other technology options the A5 includes. We particularly like the 12.3-in fully digital information cluster. Audi calls it a "virtual cockpit," as it has Google Earth options and navigation.
There is only one engine available for the A5, but it delivers on all fronts. The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder produces 252 horsepower and returns 33 miles per gallon on the highway. With this engine, all it takes is a quick 5.7 seconds for the A5 to hit 60 miles per hour.
755-watt sound system
The A5 comes equipped with a ton of standard features, such as tri-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient LED interior lighting and comfortable leather 8-way-adjustable power front seats. There are also some great options in the A5, including the Bang and Olufson sound system, which is a one-of-a-kind system that has 3D sound, 19 speakers and a very powerful 755 watts.
If you compare the base models in this class, you’ll find that the A5 checks in on the higher side at around $43,000. If budget is a priority, it’s possible to save a few grand by shopping around in this segment.
Whether it’s the Coupe, Cabriolet or the 4-door Sportback trim, the A5 has it all. If you’re in the market for a new car, the 2018 Audi A5 should be on your radar.
