GTS ($73,450) has the 375-hp V6, staggered-width 20-inch alloy wheels finished in satin black, an adaptive air suspension (lowered by 0.4 of an inch compared with the regular suspension), a model-specific front fascia with larger air intakes, sport exhaust system, aerodynamic side skirts, roof spoiler in high-gloss black, Porsche Dynamic Light System, heated/GTS sport front seats, and leather/Race-Tex (Porsche’s own version of simulated suede) upholstery. Turbo ($85,950) is the most powerful version, also bringing Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (a tungsten-carbide coating on the discs makes them able to withstand plenty of punishment; this is a $3,490 option in lower trims), fixed double-wing rear spoiler, heated/18-way power-adjustable/adaptive front seats with powered side support, and the Bose surround-sound system. Options are plentiful and pricey. The Sport Chrono package brings more driving modes (including Sport and Sport Plus), analog/digital stopwatches, and launch control. Torque vectoring at the rear wheels (using the brakes and an electronic locking differential) helps the Macan tackle corners even more efficiently. Forward collision mitigation with automatic emergency braking is known as "Warn and Brake Assist" in Porsche terminology and comes with adaptive cruise control. That’s $1,170 well spent. The Lane Change Assist/Lane Keep Assist combination includes blind-spot monitoring and costs $1,380. We’d recommend this as well. Other extras include adaptive cruise control, heated rear seats, extended leather upholstery, Race-Tex roof lining and steering-wheel covering, heated steering wheel, thermal/noise-insulating glass, wireless charging, and a Burmester 16-speaker/1,000-watt surround-sound system. Exterior elements like the side blades are available in silver, carbon fiber, or the same color as the body. Interior trim can be wood, aluminum, or carbon fiber. The seat belts also come in a choice of colors.
