The Land Rover Range Rover is arguably the original luxury SUV. Over the course of more than 50 years, the Range Rover has earned a reputation as one rig that’s both luxurious and capable off-road without compromise. That reputation continues in the 2022 model as the L405 generation approaches almost a decade of production.
A few things you should know if you’re shopping for a Range Rover is that it’s expensive to buy and expensive to maintain. With the exception of the base model, every 2022 Range Rover has a 6-digit price tag. If that works for your budget along with above-average maintenance costs, then the Range Rover life could be for you.
Let’s take a look at the trims available for the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover and find the right one for you. One notable omission in the 2022 lineup; the plug-in hybrid model is on hiatus due to production issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The turbodiesel V6 option has also been dropped for 2022 and we don’t expect it to come back. Find a Land Rover Range Rover for sale
2022 Land Rover Range Rover P360 (starting at $92,000)
The flagship of the Land Rover brand, the Range Rover is a luxurious and capable SUV in every trim. Just a few features that come standard in the base Range Rover include 19-inch wheels, a panoramic roof with a power shade, LED exterior lighting, a hands-free power tailgate, 3-zone climate control, grained leather seats, memory front seats, manual reclining rear seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, front and rear parking sensors, navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a Meridian 13-speaker premium audio system.
The standard engine powering the Range Rover is a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 with a mild hybrid system improving fuel economy. In the base P360 model, this engine makes 355 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. Being the legendary off-roader that it is, permanent 4-wheel drive comes standard. Also standard are an electronic air suspension and a Terrain Response system with multiple drive modes to suit your drive whether you’re looking for on-road comfort or off-road capability.
The Range Rover is a luxurious SUV even in its base trim, but some driver assistance features surprisingly aren’t included. These include blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and a driver condition monitor. Features like these are becoming widely available and even standard on much more affordable SUVs.
This is the value choice (if the word “value” can be applied to the Range Rover) but it’s easy to get nickel-and-dimed when adding packages and individual options. If you want additional tech like a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, and park assist, you’ll be better off in one of the higher trims where those features and more are already included.
Factoring in the $1,350 destination fee that’s added to every 2022 Range Rover, the price of the base model comes to $93,350. Assuming an auto loan at 3% interest over 60 months with no down payment or trade-in, the monthly payment would be $1,677. Find a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover P360 for sale
2022 Land Rover Range Rover P360 includes:
- 4-wheel drive – Off-road performance is a key strength of the Range Rover. Standard 4-wheel drive makes it a strong off-roader and inspires confidence when the road conditions get nasty.
- Air suspension – A 4-corner electronic cross-linked air suspension system provides Access, Standard, Intermediate Off-Road, and Extended modes. This is part of what makes the Range Rover both comfortable on-road and capable off-road.
- Panoramic roof – A standard panoramic moonroof with a power sunshade helps contribute to an open and airy feeling in this luxurious cabin. It should also make for some great views on your off-road adventures.
- Grained leather seats – A lot of care went into using premium materials in the interior of the Range Rover with high-quality grained leather seats being a priority.
- Digital instrument display – A digital gauge cluster contributes to making the Range Rover a modern and high-tech luxury SUV.
2022 Land Rover Range Rover P400 HSE Westminster Edition (starting at $103,500) and P525 HSE Westminster Edition (starting at $113,500)
These two trims are virtually identical with the exception of the engine and the wheelbase options. The P400 model has the turbocharged inline-6 while the P525 model is the entry-level supercharged V8 model. The 6-cylinder engine boasts a slight bump in performance compared to the base trim; in the Westminster Edition, it makes 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque.
This trim comes with some pretty nice upgrades over the base model. A lot of options on the base Range Rover become standard on the HSE Westminster Edition. A few standard features on this trim include 21-inch wheels, 20-way power heated and cooled front seats, power reclining heated rear seats, a Meridian 19-speaker premium audio system, 4-zone climate control, a refrigerated console, the Drive Pro Pack (blind-spot assist, full-speed adaptive cruise control, high-speed emergency braking), and the Vision Assist Pack (automatic high-beams, front fog lights, ambient interior lighting, head-up display).
Again, the biggest difference between the P400 and P525 variants of the Westminster Edition is the engine. The P525 comes with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 producing 518 horsepower and 557 lb-ft of torque. Also, the P525 Westminster Edition is available in short-wheelbase or long-wheelbase form while the 6-cylinder can only be had in short-wheelbase guise.
For a 6-cylinder Westminster Edition, you can expect a monthly payment of $1,884 using the parameters we’ve outlined above. For the V8-powered P525 model, that payment goes up to $2,064. Find a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Westminster Edition for sale

2022 Land Rover Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic (starting at $179,500)
The SVAutobiography Dynamic model is a performance-oriented version of the Range Rover. It’s still a great off-roader, but it’s further tweaked for on-road performance by upgrading the output of the supercharged V8 engine to 557 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. It also has a unique suspension calibration and air intake. This trim is only available in short-wheelbase form, but a very similar long-wheelbase model is available.
The performance under the hood is hinted at with special exterior trim, a black contrast roof, a modified rear bumper with integrated exhaust tips, and dark gray 21-inch wheels. On the inside, you’re treated to quilted perforated semi-aniline leather seats, “hot-stone” massage front seats, Executive Class Comfort-Plus rear seats, steel weave carbon fiber interior trim, a leather steering wheel, a perforated leather headliner, and special SVAutobiography pedals.

2022 Land Rover Range Rover SVAutobiography LWB (starting at $211,000)
The SVAutobiography LWB variant of the Range Rover is very similar to the SVAutobiography Dynamic model. The biggest difference is that this one is the long-wheelbase model. It still has the muscular 557-hp supercharged V8 with unique suspension calibration.
A few other differences include special exterior trim that’s distinct to this model, a Zenith-branded clock, deployable tables with leather finish, some special interior trim like Mohair mats, power rear sunshades, a 10-inch rear entertainment system, a household-style plug in the back, and power closing rear doors.
This is the very top of the Range Rover model range, which also makes it the most expensive. Using the parameters we’ve been using, your monthly payment would be $3,816. Find a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover SVAutobiography LWB for sale
