Lincoln has officially announced pricing for its all-new 2017 Continental flagship sedan, and it isn't cheap. But then again, we didn't expect it to be. The 2017 Lincoln Continental will start from $46,500 with shipping when it goes on sale this fall, with high-end Black Label models starting closer to $70,000 with shipping.

Like many Lincoln models, the Continental will offer four trims. From least to most expensive, they're the Premiere ($46,500 with shipping), the Select ($49,400), the Reserve ($55,800) and the Black Label ($64,800).

The Continental will also offer three powertrains: a standard 300-horsepower 3.7-liter V6, an optional 335-hp 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 and an especially muscular 400-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, which is only offered on Reserve and Black Label models. All Continental trims will offer front- or all-wheel drive (AWD), though the 400-hp engine can only be had with AWD.

As for equipment, even the base-level Premiere is well equipped, touting a forward-collision warning system, dual-zone automatic climate control, Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system, a 10-speaker sound system and keyless access with push-button starting. Select models will add leather upholstery with 10-way heated front seats, 19-inch alloy wheels and a power closing trunk, while the Reserve touts Lincoln's blind spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert, tri-zone automatic climate control and navigation system. At the top of the range, the Black Label touts high-end interior touches not available on other models. Options include heated rear seats, automatic wipers, automated parking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera.

For those of you who aren't acquainted with the 2017 Lincoln Continental, it was first revealed as a concept car at last year's New York Auto Show, with a production-ready model debuting soon after. It borrows its name from a long line of historic Lincoln products that trace their lineage all the way back to 1939.
