If you’ve ever looked for nice examples of older vans, you’ll know exactly how hard they are to find. The Ford Aerostar is a great example: while General Motors is known for its dustbuster-shaped vans, Ford also made one of its own — the Ford Aerostar, which was sold through the 1997 model year.
This particular Aerostar hails from the van’s final year of production, and it’s the extended-length model for additional interior room. The more interesting thing is that it’s traveled just 54,000 miles from new, making it one of the best-preserved Aerostar models around — and certainly the nicest one left on Autotrader, as there are just a handful listed.
This Aerostar is finished in white with a gray or beige interior, and wear is fairly minimal — while it looks like it’s had some use, it’s better preserved than you’ll usually find for a van. Unfortunately, it’s a rear-wheel-drive Aerostar, rather than a desirable all-wheel-drive model — but it’s still cool. The Carfax report has no information before a 2009 service when it had just 18,700 miles, which is impressive.
If you’re interested in a time capsule Ford Aerostar, this is your chance. This example is offered by Jeff Baldwin Auto Sales in Portland for $4,995, and it features 7-passenger seating so you can use it as family transport if you want to relive the golden days of the Ford van.
