Autotrader Find: 6-Wheel Jeep Wrangler for $270,000

If you’re looking for the ultimate Jeep Wrangler, you’ve found it. What you see here is a 2012 Jeep Wrangler with six wheels and a Hemi V8 conversion — listed for a whopping $269,800. It’s expensive, it’s awesome, it’s fast, and it’s surely the ultimate Wrangler.

Offered for sale by Motorcars of Georgia — the Lamborghini, McLaren and Aston Martin dealership in Atlanta, which, oddly has a different 6-wheel Wrangler, too — this particular example is a 2012 model with 6,000 miles. The advertisement says there are “too many modifications to list,” which is surely true considering this has been converted from a regular Jeep Wrangler into a 6-wheel Jeep Wrangler — and not just a 6-wheeled Wrangler, but a 6-wheel-drive Wrangler with six operating drive wheels.

To cope with the extra weight and heft, a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 has also been added, along with a 6-speed automatic transmission — and there’s a long list of other stuff, too, including power side steps, full-size rear doors and a wide array of interior modifications, including an unusual baseball stitching pattern on the steering wheel.

In the end, this 6-wheel Wrangler winds up resembling a Mercedes-Benz G 63 6×6, except at a fraction of the cost: While a 6-wheel G-Wagen is around $1 million, the Wrangler is far more affordable, at $269,800. Still, that’s big money for a Jeep Wrangler, no matter how many cylinders are under the hood and no matter how many wheels it has — but you’ll surely be the only person you know whose Wrangler has 6-wheel drive.

  1. The air vents are from a Mercedes. Probably a C Class or GLC. Screens and dashboard definitely are trying to be a Mercedes.
