10 Best Car Interiors Under $50,000 for 2020

Since you spend most of your time on the inside of your vehicle, interiors are important. An otherwise exceptional, high-performance sports car can feel cheapened by a lackluster interior, while an economy car with an above-average cabin can feel much more expensive than it really is.

Sure, you can shell out big money and get an interior that fits the price tag, but what about vehicles that cost less and give you more when it comes to cabin fit and finish? To highlight some of our favorites, we’ve put together this list of the 10 best car interiors for under $50,000 for 2020.

2020 Mazda CX-5

2020 Mazda CX-5

Pretty much every Mazda could be included on a list of the best car interiors, but we’re partial to the 2020 CX-5. Sure it isn’t the most modern vehicle in Mazda’s lineup — that title goes to the Mazda3 and the CX-30, which represent the latest and greatest in Mazda design philosophy. But the CX-5 still feels downright luxurious, despite carrying an economy SUV price tag. In addition to upscale design and plush leather seats, the CX-5 excels at the little things. The windows are all one-touch up and down, the button for the hazard lights is unbelievably precise, and the doors close with a hearty, satisfying thud. Throw in the available 250 horsepower turbocharged engine, and there’s arguably no better value in the compact SUV segment. Find a Mazda CX-5 for sale

2020 Lincoln Corsair

2020 Lincoln Corsair

One of the newest compact luxury SUVs on the scene for 2020 is the new Lincoln Corsair, which looks to build on the success of the full-size Navigator and midsize Aviator, and looks to be a hit right out of the gate. This is due in large part to its upscale interior that shares many design cues with its larger brethren. The 2020 Corsair incorporates clean horizontal lines across its dashboard and a pleasing mix of glossy and matte surfaces. There are even five different interior colors available: black, beige, brown, gray and — believe it or not — blue. The Corsair is available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and comes powered by your choice of two different turbocharged engines, making either 250 or 295 hp. The all-new 2020 Lincoln Corsair starts at about $36,000 and tops out at just over $55,000. Find a Lincoln Corsair for sale

2020 Genesis G70

2020 Genesis G70

The 2020 G70 is a performance car bargain with a base price of just under $37,000 when you include destination fees, while a fully-loaded example carries an MSRP of around $52,000. It packs a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6, making 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. The value doesn’t stop with the powertrain though, as the G70 offers an upscale interior, complete with contrast stitching, available diamond pattern seating surfaces and a pleasing mix of leather, rubber and brushed aluminum surfaces. Factor in its exceptional driving dynamics and dollar for dollar, the G70 is probably the best performance sedan on the market. Find a Genesis G70 for sale

2020 Ram 1500

2020 Ram 1500

Ram has long been the number three player in the U.S. full-size truck segment, firmly entrenched behind Ford and GM when it came to overall sales. In redesigning its line of full-size trucks for 2019, Ram clearly prioritized interior design and comfort, and as a result, Ram trucks are now known for offering the nicest interiors in the segment. While all full-size trucks can be had with premium leather seating and high-end audio systems, Ram focused on the little things when it comes to its new truck interior. Materials quality, touchpoints and ergonomics are all top-notch in Ram’s recent lineup, including in the 2020 Ram 1500. The capstone is the available 12-in infotainment screen, which can display both a smartphone interface and the truck’s native infotainment software at the same time. It’s pretty slick. Find a Ram 1500 for sale

2020 Volvo V60

2020 Volvo V60

Having massively revamped its lineup in recent years, Volvo has been on quite the hot streak as of late. Part of the brand’s appeal is in its calming, minimalist Scandinavian design language. While this is reflected in all of the brand’s models, we’ve chosen to highlight the 2020 V60 here, as it offers a good balance of value and utility. While it comes with a great cabin regardless of how it’s optioned, we’re especially partial to the newly available wool-like interior, which is more sustainable and comes in a charming plaid pattern. Win-win. Additionally, Volvo offers good infotainment software delivered through a nine-inch touchscreen, along with high-quality touchpoints all around. Find a Volvo V60 for sale

2020 Hyundai Sonata

2020 Hyundai Sonata

The Sonata is all-new for 2020 and represents the latest evolution of Hyundai’s design language, inside and out. An 8-in touchscreen infotainment system comes standard, while upper trims get a wide 10.25-in screen. What really stands out to us is just how sharp Hyundai‘s screens are. They’re truly a level above the competition in this regard (this applies to Kia and Genesis as well) and will help the vehicle feel new for years to come. Additionally, the new Sonata’s interior uses high-end materials, smart design and comes in either black, beige or gray. Pricing for the 2020 Sonata starts at around $25,000 and tops out at just under $35,000 for a fully-loaded Limited model. Find a Hyundai Sonata for sale

2020 Kia Telluride

2020 Kia Telluride

The Kia Telluride is arguably the best execution of the three-row SUV formula to date. From the outside, its boxy design looks rugged yet premium, while on the inside, the 2020 Telluride is all about comfort and serenity. Lower-level trims come with an 8.0-in touchscreen, while EX and SX models get a 10.25-in screen — the same high-res unit used in other new models throughout the Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis model range. While any Telluride offers a modern interior complete with forward-looking features, such as numerous cupholders and connectivity ports, it’s the SX model that really wows us. The top-spec Telluride comes with Nappa leather seating available in four different upscale hues, a premium headliner and simulated wood trim, all for under $50,000. Also worth noting, the Telluride’s Hyundai counterpart, the Palisade, is just as nice. Find a Kia Telluride for sale

2020 Mercedes GLB

2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class

The GLB is Mercedes‘ new compact three-row SUV. And that’s the first thing we love about it, as few SUVs of this size actually come with a third row. Sure, it’s small and only suitable for kids, but it’ll certainly come in handy in a pinch. Beyond that, the 2020 GLB offers the latest application of Mercedes’ small-car interior design language, which features rounded, chrome air vents along with a wide panel across the dashboard that incorporates both a digital gauge cluster and infotainment display. And this wouldn’t be a Mercedes interior if it wasn’t available in a variety of different colors. Buyers can choose between black, beige, gray, brown and two-tone red. There are also a number of different interior trim options, including wood, aluminum and simulated carbon fiber. Find a Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class for sale

2020 Jeep Gladiator

2020 Jeep Gladiator

It may come as a surprise to find the rugged Gladiator on this list, but allow us to explain. Jeep models of the past were all about compromise. In exchange for their go-anywhere capability, buyers were forced to settle for interiors with poor fit and finish, loads of wind noise and sub-par feature content. This is no longer the case with the Gladiator and the Wrangler, which share much of their basic design, including their interiors. Wrangler and Gladiator buyers are now treated to higher-end materials in the form of a soft-touch dashboard, rubberized controls and aluminum trim pieces. Additionally, Chrysler‘s excellent 8.4-inch UConnect infotainment system is available throughout much of the model range and comes encased in a water-resistant rubberized frame. Finally, leather seating surfaces, great storage solutions (such as lockable compartments under the Gladiator’s rear seat) and loads of USB and USB-C connectivity ports round out the offering. Sure, the modern 2020 Gladiator and Wrangler won’t have you feeling like you’re behind the wheel of a Range Rover, but you certainly won’t mistake them for the Jeeps of yesteryear either. Find a Jeep Gladiator for sale

2020 Toyota RAV4

2020 Toyota RAV4

In its last generation, the Toyota RAV4 became the best-selling vehicle in the U.S. outside of the big-three pickups, and the new RAV4, which debuted for 2019, seems to have set the bar even higher. At its core, the RAV4 stays true to Toyota‘s philosophy of function over form, and reliability and longevity over everything else. While you wouldn’t mistake this for an Audi, the RAV4’s interior is — to put it simply — just a nice place to be. Its rubberized HVAC dials are pleasing to handle and rotate with an upscale precision. Ergonomics are fantastic, while clever storage solutions abound, such as a shelf running the width of the dashboard. Different trim levels get different colors and finishes, too. Our favorite is the mix of forest green and orange found on the Adventure trim. Altogether, the latest 2020 RAV4 has big shoes to fill, and it seems to have done so nicely, raising the bar in the compact SUV segment. Find a Toyota RAV4 for sale
