If you’re interested in leasing a new SUV, you may be avoiding luxury models because you think they cost a fortune. But that isn’t necessarily true, as our latest list shows. We’ve rounded up six popular luxury SUVs you can lease for just $450 per month with a reasonable amount down at lease signing. That’s a budget-friendly monthly payment for six excellent new models with luxurious interiors, upscale amenities and high-end brand names.
The Acura MDX is a highly popular midsize crossover with 3-row seating, V6 power and a long list of new technology — especially since the SUV’s latest major update for the 2017 model year. And yet, it’s still offered with a good lease deal: Right now, Acura is touting a monthly payment of $409 per month with $1,999 down at lease signing. This figure goes up to $2,499 down at lease signing with the same payment if you prefer an all-wheel-drive model. Even when that offer expires, you’ll likely still be able lease an MDX for around $450 per month, or less — a highly affordable figure for a midsize luxury SUV.
The Audi Q3 is the brand’s subcompact crossover, slotting below the popular Q5 in Audi’s growing SUV lineup. Powered by a 200-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, the Q3 returns 23 miles per gallon in combined city and highway driving, and touts city-friendly dimensions for shoppers in a crowded area. This month, Audi is offering the Q3 with payments from $349 per month for 36 months after $2,943 down at lease signing — and while that’s a limited-time offer, it’s likely that you’ll easily be able to find the Q3 for less than $450 per month even after the offer expires.
The BMW X3 is a popular compact crossover that offers a sportier driving experience than you’ll get from rivals like the Acura MDX, Lexus NX and Volvo XC60. It also offers desirable powertrains, as the base-level "28i" model uses a pokey 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 240 hp and returns 24 mpg combined. That model is currently offered with lease rates well below $450 per month, as the base-level sDrive28i version can be had for just $389 per month with $4,314 down at lease signing. Drivers who would rather add AWD can do so with the same down payment and a monthly payment of $419. While both of those figures will increase with a smaller down payment (or if the latest incentive is removed), the X3 should still be easy to find for under $450 per month.
The Cadillac XT5 is a midsize luxury crossover designed to compete with popular models like the Lexus RX and Acura MDX — though it’s worth noting that the MDX has 3-row seating, while the XT5 does not. Offered solely with a 310-hp 3.6-liter V6, the XT5 starts around $40,000, and includes a long list of standard features; upscale models tack on some impressive technology. Right now, the XT5 is also offered with a strong incentive: payments from $339 per month for 36 months after $3,999 down. While that deal offers just 10,000 miles a year, shoppers looking for more mileage — or a higher trim level — should have no trouble finding it for $450 per month with around 10 percent down.
Lexus NX 200t
The Lexus NX is the brand’s compact crossover, slotting below the popular RX and featuring jagged-edge styling designed to attract new buyers. The entry-level NX 200t offers one engine — a 235-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder — and boasts around 24 mpg combined, which is a good figure for an SUV. Drivers looking for a lease payment of less than $450 a month will also find what they’re looking for in the NX: Lexus is currently offering payments as low as $299 per month for 36 months after $3,166 down at lease signing, or $409 per month with nothing down — an excellent deal for shoppers on a budget.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA is a subcompact crossover that gives off a "tall hatchback" vibe, offering AWD and a raised seating position but city-friendly dimensions and maneuverability. While the larger Mercedes-Benz GLC is now over $450 per month, the smaller GLA250 can now be had with a 36-month lease term that touts payments from $339 per month after $3,633 down at lease signing. Add AWD and that figure rises to $359 per month, but the point remains: The GLA is a high-end crossover for well under $450 per month, giving you ample room to add options and still get a luxury SUV within your budget range.
