2014 Nissan Juke NISMO RS Priced From $26,120

  • Starting price of $26,120 plus destination
  • Sportiest and most powerful Juke model
  • Choice of front- or all-wheel drive

Nissan announced pricing for the most powerful version of its funky 5-door hatchback. With front-wheel drive and a manual transmission, 2014 Nissan Juke NISMO RS starts at $26,120, not including an $810 destination charge. The all-wheel-drive version of the Juke NISMO RS is available only with a CVT, and it’s priced at $28,120 plus destination.

All Juke models use the same turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, but each is tuned for output. The front-wheel-drive Juke NISMO RS is the brawniest of the lot. With 215 horsepower, the RS has an 18-hp advantage over the Juke NISMO and 27 hp more than the base Juke. Torque is way up, too: 210 lb-ft compared to 184 lb-ft for the Juke NISMO. With all-wheel drive and a CVT, the Juke NISMO RS is rated at 211 hp and the same 184 lb-ft torque as the non-RS Juke NISMO.

Both front- and all-wheel-drive versions get bigger brakes and more structural bracing to better handle the extra power. Other sporty upgrades include a NISMO tuned exhaust and, inside, standard Recaro sport seats. The Juke NISMO RS also includes carbon fiber interior trim, and Alcantara and leather appointments.

Like the Juke NISMO, the RS model includes an aero kit with a more aggressive front fascia, a revised rear bumper and diffuser, and thicker, body-colored wheel arches. Also like the Juke NISMO, the RS sits on 10-spoke 18-inch wheels. LED running lights are standard.

Comparing Juke NISMO and Juke NISMO RS models, the RS versions are about $3,000 pricier. The Recaro seats alone may justify that premium for some buyers. The horsepower advantage of the RS is tempting, too, especially for drivers who want some excitement behind the wheel. For others, the 2014 Nissan Juke lineup is deep. Choices range from the base Juke S with front-wheel drive and a CVT for under $20,000 to these more powerful and more richly equipped NISMO and NISMO RS models.

What it means to you: If you dig Nissan’s uniquely styled Juke but want a sportier look and feel, consider the Juke NISMO or, at the top of the lineup, the Juke NISMO RS.
