If you’re looking for a really nice E36 BMW M3, look no further — this is undoubtedly one of the nicest ones in existence. It’s a 1995 BMW M3 Coupe with just under 4,000 original miles — and it’s currently listed for sale on Autotrader.
Offered for sale in Burlington, Wisconsin, southwest of Milwaukee, this M3 has indeed traveled just under 4,000 miles from new — and it shows. The exterior looks flawless, with an owner-added "flag" graphic over the rear fender, typically identifying an M3 Lightweight. This isn’t a Lightweight, but the flag graphic still looks nice — as does the rest of the car, with the interior appearing practically pristine.
So how does an M3 end up with such low miles after so many years? The Carfax report sheds some light, noting that it’s a one-owner car — no surprise, as a second owner likely would’ve been tempted to drive it. The bulk of the miles were added early, as the car was purchased in September 1995 and had 1,000 miles by August 1996, and then 2,500 miles by May 1999. Following that, it appears the car was almost never driven, with the next Carfax odometer reading at 2,900 miles in 2010.
This is a special car, and a highly well-preserved M3 — and it’s offered by a private seller for $89,999. That’s huge money for an E36 M3, but, of course, this is a rather special E36 M3 — and now it can be yours, to sit and look at as a pristine example of this car, or to use as if you’re just taking delivery of a new old BMW M3.
