Hyundai just announced it’s rolling out its Hyundai Shopper Assurance program nationwide this month. During a press conference at the Chicago Auto Show this week, Hyundai revealed that the consumer program — meant to streamline car shopping — it tested in pilot programs in a few key cities for the past several months will be available in dealerships across the country.
Providing the foundation for Hyundai Shopper Assurance, four key elements clarify, streamline and simplify the shopping experience.
- Transparent Pricing will have dealers posting the transaction price, including MSRP, factory incentives and dealer discounts, on their websites for each new vehicle.
- Flexible Test Drive provides a variety of ways for consumers to schedule test drives. The dealer will even bring the vehicle to the consumer at a location of his or her choosing for the drive.
- Streamlined Purchase lets the consumer complete most of the paperwork online, including applying for financing and valuing trade-ins.
- A 3-Day Money-Back Guarantee ensures any customer unhappy with the purchase can return the vehicle within three business days for a full refund.
Miami and Orlando, Florida, as well as Dallas and Houston, Texas have been testing the program since October 2017. Surveys show that 94 percent of the customers during the pilot period loved or liked the program, while 56 percent said it played a role in their decision to buy a Hyundai. “The positive response to Shopper Assurance exceeded our expectations, and it’s clear that customers want a more convenient way to buy a car,” Dean Evans, CMO of Hyundai Motor America, stated at the Chicago Auto Show announcement.
