2016 Dodge Charger: 5 Reasons to Buy – Video

If you’re looking for information on a newer Dodge Charger, we’ve published an updated review: 2019 Dodge Charger Review

There’s only a handful of iconic American muscle cars. We’ve seen the Dodge Charger come and go for decades, but the current Charger has some great styling and unbelievable performance. Here are five reasons why the 2016 Dodge Charger is just as iconic as ever.

Engine Options

The Charger has quite a few powertrain options. There are several powerful V8 selections, and the well-known HEMI package should certainly convince buyers to go in that direction. Even still, this takes away nothing from the base model’s 3.6-liter V6, which comes with an all-wheel-drive option and is considered one of the most advanced in its segment.

Restyled Exterior

The Charger had a retro look for a while, but Dodge designers have given it a beautiful contemporary style. You can’t beat these standard 17-inch premium alloys, not to mention the cool LED headlights and taillights. The styling is also some of the best the Charger’s ever had, hands down. See the 2016 Dodge Charger models for sale near you

Exceptional Pricing

Coming in under $28,000, the Dodge Charger’s price tag is very reasonable, especially when you look across the segment. That’s a small buck considering the excellent features and performance. Across the board, from the base trim level all the way up, the Charger won’t flatten your pockets.

Solid MPG Figures

You might be surprised at how efficient the Dodge Charger is. With a 19 miles per gallon combined rating, the R/T trim level delivers with its 5.7-liter HEMI. Of course, both the SE and SXT trim levels boast a best-in-class 31 mpg on the highway. All in all, this Dodge saves at the pump.

Powerful Performance

The Dodge Charger is a muscle car that’s always demanded respect, and the same holds true for this Charger. Starting things out is a 292-horsepower V6 that definitely holds its own. Go up to the R/T trim level, and you’ll receive 370 hp powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI. There’s also a 485-hp Scat Pack trim level, but the Hellcat has an unbelievable 707 hp, which will take your breath away when you punch it. The Charger exemplifies a true muscle car.
