The 2019 Toyota RAV4 Adventure is a trim level of the completely redesigned RAV4, and although there was an Adventure trim last year, the new version is more of a departure from the rest of the lineup. Principally, it is the toughest, most off-road-oriented version of the 2019 RAV4. Although every version gets substantially more ground clearance for 2019, the Adventure is the skyscraper of the group, with a considerable 8.6 inches of ground clearance. Of course, there’s more than just riding high that sets apart the Adventure. There are equipment and appearance differences as well, which we dive into in this video explaining how the 2019 Toyota RAV4 Adventure is different from other versions, including the new XSE Hybrid model.

The RAV4 Adventure, which starts at $32,900, features a unique front fascia inspired by the Toyota Tacoma, a contrasting roof color, taller and more functional roof rails, orange-accented interior trim, hill-descent control and a more sophisticated all-wheel-system. This not only constantly sends power front and back as the base AWD system does, but it differs power between the left and right rear wheels. This is an advantage in terms of traction, but a disadvantage in terms of fuel economy. It also means you can’t get the Adventure as a hybrid. Find a Toyota RAV4 for sale
