Remember the 1990s? Throughout the 1990s, I was between the ages of two and 12, so I don’t really remember them. But I’m told everything was purple, such as this 1997 Suzuki X-90, which is a very 1990s car, finished in very 1990s purple and currently for sale on Autotrader.
And this isn’t just any Suzuki X-90 for sale on Autotrader. This is the only X-90 for sale on Autotrader in the entire United States; your one and only chance to purchase a Suzuki X-90 in decent condition. Yes, that’s right: For the two people on Earth currently searching for an X-90, I’m happy to say that your search is over.
Before I get into the details of this X-90, let’s talk about what the X-90 was. Back in the 1990s, Suzuki wanted to expand its automotive lineup, but they didn’t have enough money. So they decided to take an existing vehicle, the Vitara (or possibly the Sidekick, who knows what it was called at the time), and give it a slightly different, beachy flavor: It would seat two instead of four; it would have t-tops instead of a cumbersome removable soft-top; it would have a trunk instead of a cargo area. It would be fun and cool and a lot of them would be purple or teal, the official colors of the 1990s.
Well, Suzuki thought this all sounded great, but nobody else did, and they only offered the X-90 for three years (1996, 1997 and 1998) before they had to cancel it due to immense unpopularity.
Given that 20 years have passed since this all went down, not many of these X-90s survived — but this one did. Offered by East Coast Auto Group in Jacksonville, Florida, this X-90 has to be the nicest one left, in excellent original condition, with a well-kept purple exterior and a hilarious interior with a truly 1990s pattern on the seats and door panels. It’s traveled just 94,600 miles, it has a cleal Carfax report, and it’s offered for just $4,950. Admit it: It’s kind of appealing. Find a Suzuki X-90 for sale
