6 Great Used Minivans Under $15,000 for 2019

Some of the best values on the used market for good family vehicles are used minivans. Minivans are already strong values when they’re new because of how much they offer in terms of interior space and family-friendly features. After experiencing some depreciation, they become even better bargains.

Here are six great used minivans you can get on Autotrader for less than $15,000 in 2019.

2008-2019 Dodge Grand Caravan

2008-2019 Dodge Grand Caravan/Chrysler Town and Country

The generation of Chrysler minivans that was introduced for the 2008 model year still soldiers on today as the Dodge Grand Caravan even though the Chrysler Town and Country has been discontinued in favor of the new Pacifica. The Grand Caravan, specifically, has always competed on price, meaning you might be surprised by the prices of low-mile Dodge minivans in fairly recent model years on the used market. We recommend looking for one of these minivans from the 2011 model year or newer because of its updated styling and several other updates including a revised Stow n’ Go seating system, standard blind spot monitoring, the introduction of the Pentastar V6 engine and much more. 2017 Honda Odyssey

2011-2017 Honda Odyssey

The fourth-generation Honda Odyssey introduced a bold new look to the minivan segment replacing its rather bland predecessor. The Odyssey got a lot nicer on the high end with this new generation with the introduction of the Touring Elite trim, which included a 12-speaker premium audio system, an external HDMI input, a bigger screen for the rear entertainment system, HID headlights and even a built-in vacuum in the later models. It might be tough to find a used Odyssey Touring Elite at this price point, but any Honda Odyssey from this generation is a fantastic family car. Find a Honda Odyssey for sale

2016 Nissan Quest

2011-2016 Nissan Quest

The final generation of the Nissan Quest has a rather unconventional look that is especially boxy, even by minivan standards. This Quest delivered comfortable seats and a smooth quiet ride, which is to be expected from a minivan and it’s proven to have a strong reliability record. Since the Quest has been discontinued for a while now, it’s not hard to find them at very affordable prices on the used market. If you can find one, we recommend the Platinum trim, which comes with leather seats, a rear DVD player, Bose audio and an available dual-panel moonroof. Find a Nissan Quest for sale

Toyota Sienna

2011-2019 Toyota Sienna

By 2019 standards, the Toyota Sienna is due for an update. However, in the used market, the current-generation Sienna is a great value offering tons of space and a high-quality interior all around. It has the distinction of being the only minivan available with all-wheel drive, which makes it a great choice for families in snowy climates who could use the extra traction. The Toyota Sienna is also the first minivan to be available as handicap accessible from the factory making it a good option for the disabled when equipped with the optional one-touch rotating, power ascending/descending lift-up seat. 2015-2019 Kia Sedona

2015-2019 Kia Sedona

The current generation of the Kia Sedona is aging nicely off of its 2015 redesign and its seeing some pretty fast depreciation on the used market. Other than the Dodge Grand Caravan, the Sedona is probably the newest used minivan you can get for the least money. The 2015 update brought with it a big expansion to the Sedona’s model range adding more trims and moving it further upmarket. A couple of the Sedona’s strong suits are good safety scores, great ride quality with supportive seats and a user-friendly infotainment system. Find a Kia Sedona for sale

2012-2015 Mazda5

2012-2015 Mazda5

Every minivan on this list is more-or-less the same size except for one: the Mazda5. The final generation of the Mazda5 doesn’t make much of an effort to compete on the high end with luxuries like back seat entertainment systems, navigation or even power sliding doors, but we like it for its quirky aesthetic and its fun driving character. Mazda is famous for building cars that are fun to drive and this 6-seater is no exception with especially agile handling for a minivan. It was even available with a manual transmission, but only up until the 2014 model year. It doesn’t offer as much space, seats or luxury as its bigger competitors, but what this Mazda lacks in those departments it more than makes up for in character. Find a Mazda5 for sale
